President's Update: Summer is flying by and not very much new coordination activity so far. I have nine applications that are in limbo. Many are waiting for a pair to open up. The following are what I show as still active. If you think your application should still be active and you are not on this list, contact me at w8ic@miarc.com. KD8DLF, W8GZF, KD8REH, KC8QVX, KD8TKZ, KD8NAS, KC8GRQ, KC8CNN and KC8LWR. If you are on this list and are no longer wanting a coordination, please let me know. The annual MARC meeting is in the Lansing area this September 7, 2013. Everyone is welcomed to attend. Directions are included in this newsletter.

----------------------------------------------- Annual Business Meeting Information: Annual Business Meeting
This month brings the annual business meeting where we hold
a physical meeting in the Lansing area. This includes the
elections for board positions that will expire. This year,
the Vice President, Treasurer and one Director position will be
up for election.
MARC Meeting Minutes
Date: June 1, 2013 Meeting called to order by Phil at: 1:00 PM.
Motion to approve minutes from the March 2, 2013, meeting were made by Jim, K8JK,
seconded by Fred, voice vote taken, minutes approved. Old Business: Fred reported on his experiments on the Simulcast. Dual site simulcast is running, needs to upgrade service to the tower to run higher power. New Business: Fred reported on the request by the State of MI EOC for an export of the MARC data base. Generally, info in the MARC database is confidential. Discussion by the board. Conclusion: if the state or anyone needs specific info from the MARC database, it would be considered on an individual basis. Phil asked if anyone has been following the NFCC issue. Discussion by the board. At this time the board members are watching the activity to see what happens. Discussion regarding Ohio correspondence to MARC regarding 12.5 kHz channels splits for analog repeaters. Not used by MARC at this time. Dan stated that elections will take place in September. The office of Vice President, Treasurer and one Board Member are due for election. Dave will contact our usual meeting place at Delta Twp for arranging the Saturday, Sept 7 meeting in the Lansing area.
Phil appointed an election committee of Ann and Fred. The incumbents Dan, Dave and Jim
were polled to see if they wish to run again, all stated yes. Any other nominations
will be accepted until the elections commence at the September meeting. Audit of books: Dave announced that the 6 month audit is due. He will send the records via email to the board for individual review and approval by the directors Adjournment:

Annual Business Meeting And Elections: This is a reminder that the September meeting will be a physical meeting to take place in Delta Township (Lansing Area) where annual elections will be held. If you have nominations for open positions please email Fred Moses W8FSM or Ann Manor KT8F using their_callsign@miarc.com. Nominations will remain open until just prior to voting.
