Please notice the instructions for the December electronic meeting. |
President’s Update: Winter is almost behind us and for many, warmer weather ahead will mean more antenna and tower work projects. This brings me to a reminder, when you make changes to your repeater, please update your TDS with current information. Many clubs have also elected new officers, so make sure that your contact information is up to date. Another recent issue is that a club managed to nearly allow their club license to expire. Please make sure that you are keeping these things up to date. The next meeting is an electronic meeting that is open to the public to attend. Details of how to connect to this meeting can be found below in this newsletter. 73, Dan N8WKM ----------------------------------------------- Electronic Meeting Information: The March 8, meeting is an Electronic Meeting at 1:00pm! MARC Meeting Minutes
Date: December 7, 2024 Meeting called to order by Dan at 1:08 PM
Dan read the highlights from the minutes of September 7, 2024
Keith made a motion, seconded by Roy, to accept the minutes
from the last meeting as presented. The motion passed unanimously.
Old Business:
Colorado Repeater Software: Dan and Jon reported that data has been
sent to the Colorado group and imported into the software. The
software has been shown to a handful of repeater owners in the SE Michigan
area. Dan also reported that he has discussed the new software with members
in the SW area of Michigan and received positive and negative feedback.
Motion from Keith to send a message of commitment to the Colorado team to
move forward. Jon will manage the process. Motion seconded by Roy. An Ad Hoc
team formed from Miarc, which will consist of Dan, Keith, and Roy, twill be
responsible to sign off on changes and implementation.
The motion passed unanimously. New Business:
Jon brought up that an existing rule still states that if you move
your repeater 5 miles or less, you do not have to recoordinate. A suggestion
was made to update this to a smaller range due to the increased number of repeaters. Adjournment:
A motion was made by Keith and seconded by Roy to adjourn the meeting. |
