President’s Update: Coordination activity continues to remain heavy on 70 CM. New coordinations are slowly moving forward as the earliest applications are completed and the newer ones can then be started. Occasionally, an application is far enough to the north, allowing me to do more than one clearance request at a time. Also, existing coordinations that change location, but remain in their coverage area can be worked on right away, as well as applications to increase ERP or antenna height above ground. I have seven active applications now, two of which are in the clearance process. When it slows down and I catch up, I can often work on two at a time if they are on opposite sides of the state. So remain patient. Also, it would be a good idea to check with the Trustees of inactive repeaters in your area. It would be great to get more active hams on those mostly unused coordinated repeater pairs by transferring the coordination to a new sponsor. 73, Phil W8IC ----------------------------------------------- Electronic Meeting Information: The March 2, meeting is an Electronic Meeting at 1:00pm!
