Please notice the instructions for the June electronic meeting. |
President’s Update: This June the meeting will be held on line and all are welcome to join. The instructions on joining the meeting are included in this newsletter. With the Holidays, and summer travels for members, it is nice to be able to join in from remote locations and take part in the meetings. As we ease into all of our summer projects, please remember to fill out your annual TDS. Over the last several years we have seen a much better response in getting these turned in thanks to the efforts of Bob N8ZCC. A reminder for those who have 5 or more repeaters, we can provide a spreadsheet with all of your TDS information. Once updated, the spreadsheet should be emailed to mail@miarc.com. It should also be copied to n8zcc@miarc.com as we have found that sometimes attachments are not handled correctly at the first address. The September meeting brings with it elections of new officers. Details will be posted in the September Newsletter. There are several officers who are currently doing multiple jobs. It would be nice to see some new faces and spread the work among more people. Please consider being a volunteer. 73, Dan N8WKM ----------------------------------------------- Electronic Meeting Information: The June 10, meeting is an Electronic Meeting at 1:00pm! PHONE BRIDGE ONLY:

text of a motion for everyone to read. If you are unable to participate
in the web-meeting you may still join in on the phone bridge from wherever you are. MARC Meeting Minutes
Date: March 11, 2023 Dan opened the meeting at 1:02 PM
Minutes: Minutes of the last meeting were read by Ann. Motion to
approve minutes from the December 10, 2022 meeting was
made by Phil and seconded by Bob, vote taken, minutes approved.
Old Business: The web page link has been added at the ARPSC web page. Treasurer's laptop has been upgraded and is working better. Bob reported that the two out of date coordinations near St Johns MI each have a trustee now and the coordinations have been updated. New Business: Bob suggested that there should be alternative methods of paying for dues other than PayPal.
Phil mentioned that Lake Michigan Credit Union is not
very close to David, and that an account should be opened
at a more convenient location. A banking establishment
in David's area will be considered. Fred, W8FSM requested clarification on the spreadsheet that he attempted to submit. It was found that the web mail did not include the attachment. It may have been removed by the mail server. Fred submitted the spreadsheet to Bob's regular email and it was received. Fred was concerned about the time delay in activity reports on some TDS submissions. This was discussed at length and resolved when the spreadsheet was received by Bob. The problem with the spreadsheet attachment not showing up in the MARC email will be looked into. Discussion on the transfer of KB8SXK to W8CMN. The issue was the TDS that was submitted showed KB8SXK as sponsor and automatically updated in the database with the change of trustee and owner. The issue will be resolved when the required transfer letter from KB8SXK is received. Note: letter received on 3-13-2023.. Discussion on the repeater class for W8CMN, 145.310 Bay City. The class was determined to be Quadrant and the database will be updated. Adjournment:
